Then Sings My Soul Saturday - Trading My Sorrows

One day this week I was really overwhelmed with the fact Spencer's seizures have increased so much. I kept questioning God, wondering what He's up to. You see, I know He doesn't waste anything. If He is allowing the seizures to increase and continue it is for a reason. I'm not sure what the reason is but He has a good one... because He is good.

Anyway, I was having one of those days where I was crying out saying "Just give me a verse. I need something." This is what I found.

When I said, "My foot is slipping," your love O LORD, supported me. When my anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul. Psalm 94:18-19

He is the one who gives joy even in the midst of our circumstances.
I'm trading my sorrows for the Joy of the Lord!

I'm singing this with the Women of Faith singers this weekend!

Have a blessed weekend!
Amy

Amy,

I'm so sorry to hear about Spencer's seizures. As one who has had a couple this past week myself, but only to a much smaller degree, I can empathize with you.

My heart and prayers go out to you both. May the Lord continue to make His presence known and may you always remember He is good!!

Blessings to you!!

Relax, refresh and be blessed Amy at Women of Faith & CLASS! I am linked wrong I know but my blog will not open, it just keeps opening yours!
So, I had to put my general link.
Hope all is well & stays perfect on the homefront with Greg managing the kids and all! Praying that Spencer is covered in prayer and nothing happens so you can put all this behind you & move forward in God's Glory & Presence and His Word for you!Psalm 94 works well!God is good! I pray His purpose & plan be just that GOOD for all! Blessings!

That was one of my sons for this week too. There were several that ministered to me. You are right, God has his reasons. Praying.

I like that song. I love the energy in the video. Congratulations on singing at the WOF conference. I wish they had more of those kinds of things in New England but they don't.

Lord, as Amy is listening and praising you this weekend at Women of Faith, give her rich rest in Your Spirit...only she knows the entirety of her call as caretaker for Spencer as he perseveres through his body's struggles. Give her an awareness of your presence that washes over her...Your Balm of Gilead that soothes the soul. Remind her that there will be no crying, no suffering, no regrets, no self doubt in Heaven...only Your Eternal, Steadfast, Ever-Loving presence.
Give the comediens this weekend especially funny material and fill her with giggles and laughter galore...it soothes in a way like no other.
Lord, renew her strength and lift her up on the wings of eagles to soar as she loves her family and speaks to others in need.
Thank you for your promises...for you tell us:
"Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." Jer. 33:3 In Your Son's Most Precious Name, Jesus, we name it and claim it...Amen
: )

I think when the things of the world get overwhelming, it's hard to say, "Yes, Lord, yes, Lord, yes, yes, Lord! AMEN!" But, He hasn't left you in the dark, has he, Amy?

Praise God for His faithfulness! He will not leave you alone in these days or ever. He gives you the strength to say "Yes, Lord!" even when the going gets tough.

Way to trade your sorrows for joy!

Amy,

I've been "out of the loop" for some time now. I'm so sorry to hear that your son is having more seizures. I KNOW that there is NOTHING that can hurt YOU more than to watch your child have to deal with something that you wish DESPERATELY that you could take away. Hang in there.. GOD will USE your testimony as you stand for HIM in the middle of your trials.

I've FINALLY posted with you today on this "TSMSS." It's GOOD to be back! =-)

LOVE YOU!

I pray that indeed His peace will wash over you in this conference. I attended the only WOF conference ever held in Toronto and was so blessed by the speakers.
I eagerly look forward to getting that Chris Tomlin CD. I've heard it is wonderful.
Blessings, Sita

Oh Amy what a great song! I know what you mean. I am so sorry things have been so rough. I totally understand. If you go over and read my post you'll understand.
I ended it with saying "don't do as I do" because I worry and fret.
Just rest in God's arms and turn it over to him.
Praying for your family and Spencer.
Thanks for hosting this wonderful meme.
Blessings and Have Joy because if you notice in the word Joy is an "o" or a zero...that means there is nothing between "J" Jesus and "U" You,
Sherry

God is so good! Last week I was having a moment of not very Christ like behavior! I turned to my computer after my tirad and this is what was on my computer "Whatever happens, conduct yourself in a way that is worthy of the gospel of Christ" Oh yeah, my daddy was a discipling!!!
